We're deep into the season of summer gaming showcases, and the latest spotlight was on Ubisoft. The 2024 edition of Ubisoft Forward was focused more on the immediate future with updates for several live-service games and teases for titles like Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, with no big announcements. Sorry, Splinter Cell fans.
Instead, Ubisoft dedicated a large chunk of its presentation to two of its biggest games for 2024, Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows. Ubisoft's open-world Star Wars game was explored in great detail as it kicked off the show, while Assassin's Creed Shadows unleashed some cold steel in its extended gameplay preview.
Skull and Bones, Rainbow Six Siege, XDefiant, and The Crew Motorfest were on show, revealing new expansions and seasonal updates for those titles. Lastly, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake resurfaced, although don't expect to play this game for quite a while as Ubisoft is now targeting a 2026 release date for it.
If you're looking to watch, you can catch the entire Ubisoft Forward presentation.
