Like every video game, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was built on a foundation of art that helped inform its design. Developer Insomniac Games has put its own spin on its world of friendly neighborhood Spider-Men, and if you wanted a look at the behind-the-scenes process of creating this spider-sequel, then you can now grab a preorder of The Art of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 ahead of its June 18 release. Side note: You can save big on all three of Insomniac's Spider-Man games until June 12 as part of PlayStation's Days of Play sale.

This art book will be available in two editions--a standard and a deluxe version--and is packed with never-before-seen concept art, creator commentary, and storyboards across 248 pages that show just how the game came together. The regular edition is priced at $41.53 on Amazon (normally $50) and is an oversized hardcover book that celebrates the art and artistry behind this game.

With Amazon's preorder price guarantee, you'll pay the lowest price offered between the time you order and release.

The deluxe version is pricier at $100 but it comes with some eye-catching extras. In addition to the art book, you'll get a different cover, a slick slipcase, and a gallery-quality print that you can have framed. For Spider-Fans looking to expand their time with the excellent sequel, this should be an insightful book, and for anyone looking to pick up a gift for someone special--Father's Day is around the corner--this makes for a thoughtful present for any Spider-Man fan in your home.

Over at Amazon, you can also save on the official art books for Insomniac's first Spider-Man game as well as Miles Morales.
