I am a lapsed fan. The original is still the peak for me, but the prequel was meh, the sequel was up and down, and True Colors was half-baked.

Hard pass. This is also the team behind the prequel, IIRC (Dontnod is the OG team).

True Colors is a Peabody winner, nothing half baked about it.

Noticed this game is actually $10 cheaper than True Colors.

We will know more June 13 at 11:00CT where they will detail the game.

But new players can come into this one without knowing the original. This makes me think this will be in the Sacrifice Chloe timeline and Chloe is dead.

@texasgoldrush: didn't notice, I played True Colors on Game Pass then grabbed it when it was on sale much later when I had an itch to replay it.

And it is still $60. Dumb SquareEnix doesn't drop the price.

Double Exposure is $50, but it is $80 for the cat side quest, dressing Max in a Moogle coat, early access to the first two chapters, and more. More expensive that True Colors Ultimate even. SE is dumb.

One of those games that I really wants to like but at the end of the day, I have just grown to old to really appreciate them! However for the people who like them, they are definitely the best there is!

That is the comics. Why not tell stories from both outcomes, as LIS is a multiverse.

And the comic made Sacrifice Chloe canon as well, as Sacrifice Arcadia Bay Max flickers into it briefly.

Max and Chloe got their ending in LiS 2 if you killed everyone in Arcadia Bay (fk those people anyway). Chloe and David patch things up and Max and Chloe regularly visits David, writing to him of their adventures together.

I am all for Max to come back she is the best main character in the series but her coming back.. with the same basic plot as the original game kinda had me pausing. I really dont want the same adventure I already know how it will end.

Love the more wacky time travel powers and hope we get to play with it more. telekinesis in LiS 2 is wasted opportunity due to you not in direct control of that power while that weird ass emotion detector power in True Colors just straight sucks asssssss.

It feels like all my hard work amounted to nothing. I spent all this time protecting Chloe just to let her go? People can move, get out of Arcadia bay.

Ah, yes. This game series. I remember playing the first game. Now someone correct me if I'm wrong, because perhaps I'm recollecting this memory incorrectly, but didn't the first game have a forced, out of nowhere lesbian relationship with the main character and the blue haired girl? I remember playing and was given the option to kiss her. Of course my hormone laden teenage mind selected, "Kiss." LOL! Gosh. Either way, the games at least introduced me to Syd Matters, a great indie artist. :)

No, the emotion power was a great storytelling tool, and the dance with Ducky is one of the series greatest moments.

And not having powers was a good thing in LIS 2.

It feels like Chloe was joking and she doesn't expect Max to do it, but their bond was built far before then.

I think the biggest thing personally that will be very interesting is Hannah Telle's performance, which will be full capture. She was phenomenal as Max in LIS1 and Farewell. She will help present the game on June 13th and is very beloved by the fanbase.

Square Enix London needs layoffs far sooner because they completely botched the release of the game well before its out with predatory and bizarre moves and the fanbase isn't happy. Early access of the first two chapters on Ultimate Edition purchasers is highly unpopular, then there is the gameless collector's edition, and the need to shove FFVII down our throats once again (despite the clothing actually being more general Final Fantasy, not VII specific).

I'd say this sort of game, very narrative and choice driven, has only been perfected by Telltale themselves and Life is Strange 1.

Its better than God of war, Last of us and other movie games.

Good point, actually. Had I been warned about how much of God of War is a cutscene, I never would've bothered with the game or been annoyed by it.

I played GOW 2018 for like half and hour more so. entire game is slow walk walk walk. with some combat that is bad then walk walk walk. its terrible. absolutely terrible.
