Not me personally. Still prefer consoles myself so have no plans of ditching them and going PC anytime soon.
PC has always been better.
Everyone knows this, but the industry tries to force hard working people to console.
It's not the choice I would make, and I had regrets going that way before, but everyone is different. You could also own all the platforms. Anyway if you can change your mind now, you can always change it again in the future.
I like the console though...more easy to set up, better user experience. So I'll stick to xbox, even though my graphics card is better than what's in the Xbox. Yes I'm dumb.
Be aware that some of the PC ports are pretty poor. Have to install Dolby Access to play Uncharted in 3D audio (Dolby Atmos), because the 5.1 and 7.1 options don't work, are grayed out, and even then audio stutter keeps popping up that forces you to play in stereo anyway. The collection also does not let you use a custom resolution, only the desktop resolution. You can lower the desktop res, but that will likely disable high framerates, so might as well play in 4K with low frames anyway. Playing with big black bars in ultra wide significantly improves performance, but the 16:9 cutscenes are then window-boxed, meaning they have black bars on all sides.
In previous gens I always had a Playstation to compliment my PC, but this is the 1st gen I just stayed 100% PC and have no regrets. My game library is over 400 now and I still have 75 thousand titles in the PC catalog to choose from. If I don't like playing with an Xbox contoller I can swap to a PS5 contoller or something else. Hell, last year I decided I was tired of the way my PC looked, so I swapped it out for a new case and a new astetic. All games I've bought in the last year have been paid for with side money I've made using my PC and 3D printing. I couldn't do any of that with my consoles, so if one is on the fence about getting a PC I'd say there's never been a better time to do so.
If only PC is casual-friendly and not for geeks (like those who frequent System Wars) who can readily exploit the platform's many advantages over consoles. If it can, then we can see consoles eventually becoming obsolete.
there's easily a market for both..
for me personally, i'm likely going to build/buy a proper gaming PC heading into the next generation and hopefully get the rumored Xbox handheld as a companion device.. if there isn't an Xbox handheld, i'll take a look at the Steam Deck or another handheld PC for gaming when i'm not at home..
but ultimately, yes.. everything is on PC and PC has the most flexibility in terms of hardware options.. but PC gaming isn't for everyone and there's a huge market of gamers who prefer consoles..
Not sure why PC gamers think console gamers care about PC lol
You're the manticore around here... Tell us! My guess is that gamers want to play games and would be willing to move to the experience offering the the best catalog. That would be pc. The experience is becoming more see less on pc so one could have a console experience on pc with a better library than a singular console. Makes sense for gamers trapped by a console to expand.
I like that on PC I can play anything:
I can play behind my monitor, the telly, play with KB/M, play with a dualssense, an Xbox controller. Heck I sometimes even use a Stadia or Nintendo controller (I'm crazy, I know).
You can buy games cheap and never have to pay for subscriptions (they add up).
Console gaming is fine, but if you dump it and go for PC gaming, you'll never look behind.
Have a console/s, but you probably should at least have a middling PC at this point. You can probably pick up someone's old build with something like a 2070 super for like 450-500 these days, which yeah isn't going to be anywhere near top shelf but it'll run things with some compromises.

like what? What’s so special about the PC catalog?

One can play God of War, Halo, Ghost of Tsushima and Starfield on PC... And as an added bonus you no longer have tk pay yearly sub fees to game online. I mean? I was pretty staunchly console gamer for a very long time... Dabbled with pc but never committed to my pc library. The obvious benefit of having cross pollinated libraries from Sony and Microsoft is hard to look past.

All the games you listed are on console and don’t require a yearly sub lol

All the games you listed are on multiple consoles correct... If I want to play ghost of tsushima online I have to have a psn sub. All mentioned games are on pc, not every game is on the others... What a waste of money it would be to have a one or two game parody. I mean, what's the point?
God of War... Ps4✅PS5✅PC,✅, Xbox❌
Halo.... Pc✅xbox✅ps5❌
Starfield... Pc✅xbox✅ps5❌
@TheEroica: Stop shattering folks worldview. The lad invested in console and you are showing he wasted his money.😡
I figured our resident manticore would know the obvious benefits of not having to buy multiple consoles or pay for added services... I mean, isn't this the primary complaint about owning an Xbox to many? Sony very much shares the same blueprint and it's only growing stronger. Ultimately I can't stop people from throwing money at the hobby... It's likely those who do either have a disposable income or have been conditioned to throw money at this issue... I just don't have that gene. It's been obvious for several generations that the catalogs of these consoles have about 5 to 10 percent parity... Pc comes along and mostly contains everything in one package but still people find fault in that. Kind of amazing....

Yep! I'm playing through Ghost of Tsushima with the dualsense and loving it
PC gamers have options...consoles gamers do not
@TheEroica: Gaben should give you a dozen Steamdecks for free with all the shilling you do for it. You shill it worse than cows shill PS.
12 steam decks!? Holy s*** I'd be the most popular guy on earth with that much glory in my pockets.... Ladies would take notice too. Thank you for the compliment about my membership in the SDF. steamdeck defense force baby!
Pretty amazing that a moderately powered handheld can have more value than the flagship models of the big 3. All those games on portable? My goodness.... There I go again.

Done...
It's always time to get away from consoles. Then again, you could always do both.
But if you had to pick, obvious answer is PC. Super fun and it's like rediscovering a new hobby because your options just grow. And don't forget you're essentially infinitely backwards compatible on PC! I'm playing my 100th or so playthrough of Deus Ex this month 😋
